London Editor's Choice Award!

Hello Everyone!

And especially … welcome to the hundreds of new subscribers. I’m grateful to have so many new friends reading my books !

I realized last night that I’d forgotten to upload the last two new chapters for Sea Dragon Apocalypse! I apologize for being spacey. To be fair, I’ve been sick since Christmas and have had influenza, Covid, the flu, and laryngitis all at once or close to that so I’ve been a little … incapacitated for quite a while. Thank you for your patience. Meanwhile, keep your eyes open for those new chapters (I’ll try to get them posted before this newsletter) because once it’s released, I’m closing all chapters for paid subscriptions only.

If you’d like an early access copy, I’m still looking for 5-10 more team members to get ARC copies - that essentially means, you get an early, free digital copy in exchange for leaving an honest review. It’s easier than you think so if you’re interested, respond to this email and I’ll get you set up the instant I finish those last few chapters.

Recently, Shepherds asked me to make some book recommendations for their readers - an excellent service, IMO. Here is my list of 5 Best Books that Shatter Genre Limits (not pitching my own, of course).

A struggle for the fate of humanity

The prologue to the Defiant Space books

In this tale of space opera and cosmic adventure, the Ambassador of a mysterious and ancient family must forge a path through chaos to overcome the terrible enemies that desire humanity’s destruction.

Her plan to avert galactic catastrophe will unite a band of survivors who have faced every imaginable danger and disaster.

This story forms a prologue to the Infinite Void series.

Scipio the Sciapod: In the Shade of a Foot

Scipio the Sciapod is very fair, for he detests every Roman equally, including himself. That’s why he became an assassin, and why he’s stayed in the business for 339 years. (It helps that he’s a slave—quitting isn’t exactly in his job description.) But one night, a mission reignites his doubts. Scipio must decide: continue his grim work or risk everything for a chance at freedom.

Also - Bundle deals with all of my books — exclusive for newsletter subscribers are here: Drew’s Bundles

Have you guys heard of BookDoggy? It's a book promotion site that I found. They feature an amazing range of books. Everything from USA Today bestsellers to hidden gems. Plus, they give away prizes. Right now (through March 17), their draw is for a Samsung Tablet. And they're featuring one of my books too. Please check them out!

I have something worth your consideration as well …. read on.

I’ve noticed several of you are getting copies of my books from these newsletter promotions. The problem is, I never advertise some of my books so you’re limited in what you can download for free this way. I offered you a better deal when I sent you my very first newsletter but perhaps you missed it or forgot about it.

You received a free ebook when you signed up for this newsletter. After you have read and reviewed it (and if you want another ebook), send me a screenshot of your review and let me know which of my books you’d like to review next and I’ll send you another of my ebooks for free - your choice - and it’s not limited to the few I put on the promos. I call this my “Free Books for Life” program. If, for whatever reason, you don’t particularly like a book but would like to read another and are willing to review the new book, the same deal applies.

Don’t know how to review a book and feel intimidated? No worries - it can be super simple. Here’s an article I wrote on how to write a super simple review. You don’t have to write about everything I mention in the article, either. Two sentence reviews are sometimes just as golden as lengthy reviews if they’re genuine and thoughtful.

If you’re interested, here are links to Amazon and Goodreads where you can review any of my books. Send me a screenshot and tell me what you’d like to read next and I’ll send you another ebook. There’s never any obligation to continue, however, so if you run out of time or just don’t feel like it, no worries. Life happens.

Sea Dragon Apocalypse

(coming February 2026)

If you’d like a free ARC copy to review when it’s ready (I’m through a final and very heavy edit and am writing a couple more chapters before a final edit), respond to this email and I’ll put you on my list - I’m hoping to release ARC copies on my birthday - 27th February.

Gathering promos for you to find free and discounted books takes 2-3 hours per newsletter (and a little extra for the follow up emails) and writing this newsletter often takes another hour or more to prepare (the links) and write.

If you could take three seconds to share this post OR to share my newsletter (just press the buttons below), I would very much appreciate your support!
