The majority of people feel a soul connection to at least one of the following countries (an intuition they’ve lived there before in a past lifetime): England, Italy, Ireland, Egypt, the United States, and France. Admittedly, I love it when someone expresses a fondness for somewhere off the beaten path… like Easter Island, Djibouti, or Santa Claus, Indiana (yes, that’s a real town.)

In terms of United States history, many people feel a past life connection to Native American culture and the Revolutionary War period.

An “old soul” describes someone who has lived more past lifetimes than the average person. Roughly 10% of the general population fall into this category.

Those who have lived 30-some past lifetimes would be considered an old soul, and people who have lived 40-some past lifetimes are very old souls. However, this only references the past 5,000 years or so, because our lifetimes prior to that are no longer relevant in the grand scheme of our soul’s evolution. We typically get a new combination of spirit guides (guardian angels) with each lifetime. A few of them might remain the same as before, but you may lose a couple and gain some new additions. I like to think of spirit guides like a college football team. From one year to the next, a team might lose some seniors who graduated, and they’ll gain some new freshmen, but some players stay on board. Over time, the group will change and evolve. This is how spirit guides operate with us from one life to the next.

You’ve likely been a spirit guide for your spirit guide once upon a time… when they were living a human life, and you kept tabs on them from Heaven.

Many people have a fear of water or a fear of drowning. This is because the world is 70% water, and most major cities are close to large bodies of water. Therefore, it’s likely you’ve drowned at least once at some point in history. Personally, swimming in the deep blue sea ranks pretty low on my bucket list. It’s ironic, considering I have webbed toes and I’m a decent swimmer. But after watching the movie Jaws, I’d rather stay on dry land than become shark bait.

Deja vu can be an indication that your soul is remembering a past life event similar to what you’re currently experiencing. Old souls tend to get deja vu quite a bit!

Some of your talents, skills, and natural abilities are leftover attributes from previous lifetimes. Discovering these talents is often a case of remembering how to do a skillset rather than learning from scratch. So, if you can presently juggle while breathing fire, perhaps you can trace that to a past lifetime when you were a court jester or ran away with the circus.

A soul group describes a collection of individuals who live multiple lifetimes with each other (in different capacities and at various points throughout history.) Someone who used to be your friend might now be your spouse. Your current sibling may have been your coworker or neighbor in a past life.

It’s possible to live multiple lifetimes at once. There’s a term known as quantum superposition - a state that allows protons and electrons to exist in multiple places simultaneously. This has been observed in laboratories, and its implications are truly astonishing. If this experiment was scaled up, it might prove that our souls can exist simultaneously in two different places (and times)!

You and you alone decide where, when, and why you return for a future lifetime. It’s truly a matter of free will. In fact, there’s no rule stating you have to come back at all. So, if your soul has experienced all it wishes to gain from the human experience, you can permanently stay in the spirit world when you cross over. (And you can lovingly haunt the rest of us when you get there.) BOO!

Some people have dreams of previous lifetimes - dreams where they are fluently speaking a language they don’t presently know. Upon waking up, the ability often dissipates, but the soul can dig up past life memories in the dream world.

If you’ve ever crossed paths with someone and instantly felt a connection, it’s very likely you’ve known them before. Our brains can’t recall where or when the dynamic was formed, but the soul never forgets. It’s a lovely feeling when this happens, although it’s rare.

There have been countless documented cases of people experiencing severe head trauma, and upon waking up from the coma, they suddenly have a new skill set. Some cases fall under the category of “acquired savant syndrome.” After a conk to the head, some of these individuals find they can play an instrument at a professional level despite never taking a lesson before. Others are instantly fluent in a language they’ve never even studied. Scientists and doctors cannot explain how this is possible. But for those of us who are open-minded, there is really only one explanation that makes sense. We’ve lived before. And beneath the surface of our soul lies a treasure trove of hidden talents, memories, and untapped abilities.
