Frank and Red, by Matt Coyne from Bookshop.org
A very warm-hearted book with some recognisable characters, one of those stories that you look forward to reading at the end of a working day. From the start, you think you know how it’s all going to pan out in the end, but Matt Coyne keeps you guessing, tagging you along with his humour and raw observations.
It’s a perfectly rounded, end-to-end story, with characters you will fall in love with (is that trite? Probably, but this is my first ever book review, and it feels odd).
There’s also a proper LOL joke about the Pope, which is best read out to your friends and family from the book, rather than trying to remember it - page 48 of the paperback.
Highly recommended by me!
