Greed and hate funds the wars News feeds off envy and spite Entices our hearts to the blight: Fear of Death. Look! O’er the valley, to the hills, “Whence cometh” our aid? Love “cometh” whose song made The good earth. Sunshine spills o’er the valley Chasing away the fear of night Where darkness fights and frights Our frail hearts. Love so great floods the earth, Subverts the might and proud That pressed the lowly and bowed Under foot. If we but love the neighbor, The enemy real and we mis-perceive, Keep the faith to love and leave Fear behind.
What gives you hope in this world of fear?
