I awake in a dim room;
The first light dawns beside me from my phone
Shows 4:30, not quite morn.
A time to move. A time to leave.
Through the hall an allumed room,
I gather my keys and pocket my phone,
Outside I'm in the cold morn.
A time to shiver. A time to quiver.
Look! to the roof of God's room!
I spy a sky one can't keep with my phone.
Stars, stars, grace a moonless morn.
A time to start. A time to stop.
Gape at stars, leave dark nil room;
Missing the patterns I've seen on my phone.
Myths differ this time of morn.
A time to resume. A time to regret.
Only mind's eye has the room;
Other far moments notify my phone
As I drive off into morn.

What are the moments you wish you would have lingered?
