I have been there. Delusional and without healthcare. Jeffries has the best health care the taxpayers offer any American, while he spins in the DNC delusion.
Where I have not been in a very long time, is selling a product that I did not believe in. I still remember having stood there and taking a deposit on a boat I did not care for. I knew better. But I kept quiet and let the well healed marine biologist do the wrong thing. I only sold one of them, it was early October of 1991, and I was running a display at the Annapolis Sailboat Show, the last time I would ever show up at one.
I was a rube, a pawn, a barker, a front man. Like Jeffries, still is. I am grateful to have been allowed to grow beyond that role, and his, which was one that I thought I might want to take a stab at, but I went to California instead. Now I am grateful to have not prostituted myself beyond what I had to get through college and graduate school.
I am admittedly damaged goods, but on the right side of history. I am no longer spinning in that delusional vortex which I was in Annapolis where Jeffries spins now. Hakeem is older now than I was then, when I had no health Insurance at all as a self-employed contractor losing money every year, selling with, to and for millionaires and trust funders, along with a crop of groomed assets who played with me in the Marine Trades.
I consider myself lucky. I feel badly for Hakeem. I know how hard is to let go of all that hard-fought for status. I have bounced off the bottom half a dozen times. There is still time for him to grow beyond the delusional vortex he spins in.
My DSA GND winter hat on hosta leaves.
