Season Shift

Easter arrived we jumped in the car, drove until the daylight left and only then realised that the main front headlights were both not working. Shit. Only when you urgently need something do you wish that you had a system in place that would have told you that your lights were not working.

Lived in Grenoble now for 14 months and another Autumn is here and the first snows fell in the mountains around us last week. Yesterday we drove up to Chamrousse 1750 and then hiked to the top of Croix de Chamrousse (2250m) to get our first of the season. At the parents place for half a week while the school holidays continue. Three weeks left in the UK until la vie en france commence . On Saturday we had our leaving party with friends and their kids, was a great time and really sad that friends will stay in the UK while we move to France, especially for the kids. 4 weeks remain

so grey the sky no sun to be seen we are four weeks away from moving to Grenoble and time is dragging. The kids last day at school yesterday and now summer holiday camps, a visit to their English grandparents, a flight to their French grandparents, Marion and I will go seperately after packing the house up and driving to Grenoble. Trying Bear

This morning I decided I needed a place to post random thoughts to the internet without a build process or complex admin area, or anything like that, so I remembered I had seen Bear as a blogging platform so am giving it a try out.
