Last Thursday, I flew from Palm Springs into NYC for work and happily extended my trip to make a pit stop in Philly to see the family before heading back west. It’s Friday morning and I’m writing this in real time. The job I was working in NYC required an outfit and I sort of panicked at the idea of not loving what I brought with me so, I reached out to my sweet friend Tamara Malas to see if I could snag something from her incredible East Village store location - lucky for me it was right down the street from my hotel. I ended up getting this really dope convertible dress/top that you can wear a bunch of different ways and absolutely loved it!
This may seem silly but living in Palm Springs means that I rarely get to wear a jacket. I brought this dress * incredibly versatile dress with me that I’ve worn twice this trip and paired it back to my all time favorite trench coat. It’s super relaxed, lightweight and feels easy to wear over anything. P.S. I’ve never gotten more compliments on a pair of sneakers than these New Balances!
I did go to the Chelsea flea market while in the city and had the best time with my friend Nancy. I vlogged the day you can check that out here. With so much running around I legitimately was existing on caffeine and fumes - until I remembered that I actually packed my vitamins. Peri Menopause is NOT A GAME y’all. Symptoms can start as early as 34?! WHAT? I’m in my 40’s and literally don’t feel like I’ve heard anyone talking about this until recently. Anyhoo - I’ve been taking this Perelel Peri Support Pack and I do feel more balanced. Not medical advice, this is just one of the things I’m doing. I do have a 15% off code if you want to try KELLIE15.

We should probably get into the hair tragedy. The only photo I have is this one that my friend Charlotte took of us at dinner last night (another tragedy outlined in my upcoming vlog lol). Is this objectively bad? No. Do it hate it? Yes. It’s simply not what I asked for. The color is much darker than I thought it would be and hair this dark just doesn’t suit me. My natural hair color is VERY brown. Black or “natural” as the label read is just a bit harsh. My sister and I walked through Home Goods the other day as I was making a “hot or not” video and well, I burst into tears lol.
For reference. THIS is what I asked for. I showed a photo of a previous braid style and said, “I want this”. The color, the density and the LENGTH = crash out. Jokes on me.
I’m excited to spend the weekend with family and doing a bit more thrifting here in PA! Happy Friday friends! I hope you have an amazing weekend.
Love you, mean it!
Kellie
