Something that used to send chills down my spine was the idea of going on a girls trip or romantic vacation and feeling like I was going to look like someone’s grandmother in matronly vacations clothes in dastardly floral prints and modest cuts. Nothing like 90’s teen fashion trauma eh?
One of the most important humanizing things we can do for ourselves is to be able to express and present ourselves as we see ourselves internally. Having to wear something verses wanting to wear something really crushes the soul.
Vacation clothes (for me) should be fun, flirty, dripping with personality and yes, comfortable. I want a happy marriage of chic, elegance, cool and effortlessness.
It’s always going to be a crochet set for me. There’s something so retro and now about them.
