the virgo gift guide

it’s officially virgo season, which means it’s officially go-time for the chronic list-makers (my birthday’s the 6th). if you know anything about virgos, you know that we are very… how do I say this… particular <3. particular about my routines, my lists, and everything that I own. the signature scents, specific le creuset color, the whole nine yards1

naturally, I made a list. this is part love letter to the gifts I have been given through the years and some things that I am not-so-subtly hoping to unwrap.2 virgo or not, this is really just a list of things I love and would gift anyone

let’s get into it!

• my best friends from home got me the le creuset dutch oven in the chambray color and I use it 4x a week. actually one of my favorite things I have ever owned

• for christmas last year, my best friend gave me the most thoughtful gift:

  • customized pouch

  • engraved lighter case (says and everything nice - how CUTE)

  • an apron! (had been wanting this for so long since I always make a mess when I cook lol)

  • mini le creuset that I use for maldon salt in the same chambray color as my le creuset collection

• a super 8 camera!!!! another one of my prized possessions - shane got it for me off of eBay! (note: every single film camera I have ever gotten has been from eBay)

• custom matchboxes for the apartment - another best friend of mine gave these to me and they are adorable :)

• I am a sucker for a pajama set. my favorites:

  • JCREW dreamy pajama set - if you’re one of my friends, I have gotten you this pair of pjs as a gift. they are my go-to’s every single night and love them oh so much (make them extra special by getting them embroidered on the site)

  • dairy boy pajamas - I have multiple pairs of these and they are so cozy. I usually size up a size

  • VS long pajama set - I have these in the pink & white stripe <3 (makes me feel like eloise at the plaza)

• my bathrobe!!!! if you have a brooklinen in your city (sf girls: we have one in hayes valley), go in-person during a sale. I got a robe here for 70% off

• lola blanket - ugh it really is so good. have gifted this one too sooo many times (I also have a code - SU35)

• eye patches - I wear these every morning I work from home. very cooling and don’t slip off (actually, as I type this is my reminder to restock)

• getting beauty items for friends is tricky because everyone has a preference on ingredients & the certain products that they use. my favorite universal products for everyone:

  • lip gloss - cult favorite for a reason. the perfect lip for a night out

  • hydrating peptide lip treatment - my everyday lip balm!!! I have one in every bag of mine

  • nutritive 8H magic night serum - I really don’t like recommending hair products because I use so many different ones, so who’s to say what really works. but I can tell you, this one does. it is so so good

• crown affair hair towel - ok another basic one but a greaaaat purchase. would make a great gift for someone who doesn’t have it yet

• home fragrance! I have a signature scent for my room (tuberose from diptyque) and love love love it

• wine glasses - huge wine glasses but with the skinniest little stem (I call these my bella hadids). I got a set of 6 for the apartment

• magnetic photo frame for a photo booth strip - all of the sf girlies know and love photomatica. a perfect item to pair it with

• hatch alarm clock - I really am not a morning person whatsoever but have to get up pretty early for work. this has made the mornings much more pleasant instead of getting jolted awake by that god forsaken apple alarm

• the JCREW rollneck is one of the most-worn items in my closet. I also just like how the men’s version fits much more

• leather tote bag for office has just climbed to the top of my wishlist - the black leather is gorg

• asics sneakers !!!

• have been eyeing this cashmere sweater - perfect for the office or dressing up for date night

• I've been on the hunt for huge sunglasses that cover your face (a must after a night out). these sunnies from lexxola are finally back on pre-order.

• LL bean tote bag - can customize it online - the XL version of this thing comes with me on every trip!

• have been drooling over these tony bianco flats for months now

• a sleeve of film! my go-to’s are portra 4003 and kodak ultra max (can be found of course at any camera store, but I order online at B&H photo — gets to you in two days)

• if you’re ever stuck, I really think that an experience is always an amazing gift (concert tickets, a cooking class, movie tickets)

• flowers are ALWAYS a good idea !!!
