The Sight's 20 Year Anniversary

This week marks the 20th anniversary of my release, on the original IGN Vault, of the award winning Neverwinter Nights adventure module, Sanctum of the Archmage: The Sight.

After years of being pulled away from my game development plans to deal with a series of “real life” (RL) priorities, I’ve finally started the research and preparations to resume that work. I’ve largely been away from the Neverwinter Nights (NWN) community for some years, so I was mostly unaware of how extensive the community’s efforts have been to extend its capabilities, especially through NWNX. It’s clear that I have a lot of catching up, and likely some significant game architecture adaptation, to do before finishing the third chapter of the Sanctum module series. I’m very excited by what I’ve learned so far, and looking forward to it.

Those RL priorities have also slowed recent progress on my Sanctum of the Archmage novels. As with the games, I expect to be ramping my book writing efforts back up in the near future as well. This will also include a return to posting more frequently here on my Substack, which has been relatively inactive for a couple of years now. So look for an announcement and some updates on my plans for both the Sanctum of the Archmage novels and games in the near future!
