We long not only
for the truth
but for peace
in the face of truth.
Often the truth
creates unrest.
And often we choose
a peace that has
nothing to do
with the truth.
So how can
we have both
peace and truth?
Well, in the moments
when our hearts tell us
we are not worthy of love,
know that what God thinks
is more important
than what we think.
God knows everything
we’ve ever done
and still says
“I love you.”
