Maybe she wanted one true thing rather than a lifetime of standing in the dark, harmonizing in someone else’s love story.

This is day 5 of my 30-day Audacity Lab. It’s a creativity experiment where I take personal, unapologetic responsibility for my own creative longing.

Today, I’m looking at Eponine, not as a tragic waif who dies for a boy with a 80’s floppy haircut, but as the "engine" of the whole story.

In this monologue, I wanted to have fun while Eponine discovers her own agency in the afterlife and realizes that while the boys were arguing about "the Republic,” she was the only one actually running the streets.
