Because I cannot resist new art supplies, I picked up a couple of pocket-sized sketchbooks with new (to me) paper and put them to the test. I also grabbed this cool little Liquitex Freestyle short-handled paddle brush in the 1 inch size. This is the pocket-sized, square travel paintbrush of my dreams. Also, you can get these sketchbooks in lots of places, but I like to buy them from the nice folks at JetPens. And the watercolor palette is from ArtTookKit.
So below is a video where I demonstrated all of that, and messed around with the one tiny sketch I made of the fireworks on July 4.
It’s not much, one hasty little drawing of a bridge and some people and the sky, but it’s a moment in a life, but isn’t life just a series of small moments? It’s all worth putting down on paper.
Anyway, here’s the video.
