Week of June 7 - June 13
Warm weather: here we come (derogatory)!
Sunday
You may notice that I used this photo last week. It’s because I forgot to take another photo today, but I DID fly back wearing the same thing. I firmly believe in repeating outfits during travel days because it saves space in your suitcase and, for me, WHO CARES.
As I’ve discussed, I travel bright/fun/etc. because the most fatphobia I experience is during flying, so I try to look as nice/fun/etc. as possible while still comfortable. This isn’t fair, I know! I want to be sloppy! But anyway it’s what I do! OK!
Monday
This is NOT my fave black skirt. My fave black skirt does not exist! I have preordered one from Tuesday of California that I hope will be my new fave black skirt. This one has pleats that I’m not fully into and it’s like a half size too small. That said, it does the trick! And ALSO it has made me realize just how big the midi black skirt hole in my wardrobe was, because even though this skirt is not quite right I find myself reaching for it a lot. I’m excited to (hopefully) get something (hopefully) better (hopefully) soon! This is a great placeholder.
Tuesday
Chess shirt with this Lane Bryant (I KNOW) skirt and Converse.
Wednesday
I worked from home and absolutely forgot to take a photo. I survived.
Thursday
I had a business lunch and plans to go out with friends and for some reason (the gym) I went as absolutely casual as possible? This is the perfect T-shirt and my most beloved 501s.
Friday
It is warm! This dress is linen! That was the beginning and end of my decision-making process!
Saturday
I forgot to take a full-length photo today. I spent part of the day OUTDOORS for Dyke Day so I wore linen again, and a tank top that withers in the back of my closet for most of the year. I also got new anti-sweat moisturizer and based on this photo taken post-Dyke Day and post-bus ride, I think we can agree it worked well!!!
I am trying hard not to fall apart in warmer weather: emotionally, physically, fashionably?
