Week of July 26

This was the hottest week of the year so far so I am trying to survive! Also I am trying to have more of a personality than just hating it! OK!!!!

I definitely wore something lazy! I couldn’t tell you what!

Exciting day! I made this tiger skirt!! The pattern is the Droma skirt by Muna & Broad (this is a plus-size designer just FYI). I am SO HAPPY with how this turned out. Button-up is from Androgynous Fox, and bolo is from Tiny Deer Studio!

This dress from NORBLACK NORWHITE breathes sooo great that it is somehow the perfect summer dress. My apartment is an extra mess because this table I ordered arrived damaged and Bed/Bath/Beyond is taking forever to do anything about it!!!!

This dress is too long and I should hem it but whatever! It’s from Shein which I do not shop at but this was a $16 Poshmark find, so, anyway. It doesn’t have pockets but it’s a great dress otherwise.

I don’t love going fully sleeveless (LOOK HOW PALE MY ARMS ARE UNDERNEATH THERE) but it’s fucking hot, OK??? This is a linen Nooworks Naomi over a Madewell tank. Great!

I was going to a standing-only venue for a show that night so I just wanted to be comfortable. Then it was so hot with a bunch of Gen X and elder millennial types packed in there that I deeply regretted denim instead of a dress where I might have gotten a little more air. It’s fine! I survived!

Another Naomi and another Madewell tank. This Naomi was not linen as I remembered, however, I was only wearing it to go to a high school musical theatre production in the Valley that was, thankfully, well air-conditioned. My hair looks weird because I went to pilates mid-day and my hair got weird and sweaty and then I just said fuck it and let it dry like that. WHY NOT.

(I think I wore these shoes almost every day. It’s fine!)

I whine a lot but I guess mainly I am doing OK!!! THEME OF MY LIFE THUS FAR?
