Week of July 12

Two things I hate:

1. Heat!! Summer! Sweatiness! My electric bill!!!!

2. GROWING OUT MY HAIR I don’t even have a good reason I just want a change and now I hate it every day while it is doing WHATEVER it is doing!

I really do pledge every year to be less bratty about summer but, my dudes, I am 48, summer is the worst ever (plus the climate crisis, it truly IS the worst ever, I’m just saying, I have additional items).

The default outfit I will wear every time I do not feel like trying. It could not be easier. Though, I know what you’re thinking, jeans in the heat? I DON’T KNOW.

A rare outdoor shot!! I hadn’t worn this Nooworks Frida dress in awhile and I was so glad to rotate it back in!

Oh hey while I was wearing this old Madewell striped shirt that always makes me feel like the Hamburglar but chic, I thought, I hope I can make this last forever. Then I spilled Enchirito sauce all over it and I am not sure it will make a full recovery. WHY DID I JINX MYSELF THIS WAY??? Anyway, Tuesday of California skirt and Converse One Stars that I have been getting A TON of wear out of this summer so far.

Nooworks dress with tufted bolo tie I hadn’t worn as much since a Gen Z sneered at this awhile back at Starbucks. I wish I was good at sneering back but instead I just thought about it for an amount of time I am not comfortable admitting!

This NORBLACK NORWHITE dress breathes SO WELL and is perfect for a hot day as long as you don’t have to stand directly in the sun, which I only did for a brief time at a valet stand IN THE VALLEY at lunchtime. Anyway. Everything worked out.

I can’t figure out how to get a good angle at home so I am always standing weirdly. I’m sorry! DEAL WITH IT! I was out to dinner shortly after taking this photo and a straight man walked by my table and said “I like your dress” which was so confusing but nice.

I forgot to take a photo! I wore a Nooworks Naomi over a white tank because it was hot and I am a little baby.

Seriously I am so whiny about my hair in my inner monologue every time I see a mirror or a front-facing camera. I hope it grows QUICKLY.
