Week of August 16

It’s hot and I am doing my best!!!

I forgot to take a photo but I also do think there’s something about hating my at-home photo setup so much that makes me “forget” subconsciously? Anyway. I’m thinking on this. My setup at work is not GOOD per se (the in-frame office chair) but it’s the exact right angle and lighting at least!!!!

After I saw this photo I tucked in my shirt better and pulled the skirt up higher, so you are getting a very REAL LIFE photo because for some reason I did not retake it with a better adjusted outfit. ANYWAY. Madewell tee, Tuesday skirt, Converse!

True story: I have this muscle t-shirt from Mysterious Galaxy bookstore that I wear all the time. It’s my home shirt that’s in good enough shape to wear in public. I love it so much that I googled the brand of shirt that it was printed on (Bella) and found other PLAIN muscle tees they make. And that’s what this is! The skirt is one I made! The only skirt I’ve made to be clear! Converse I haven’t worn in forever, which are the same as the all-white ones I’ve been wearing a lot lately.

The story of this dress: a few years ago I was at an event and saw a woman wearing this dress. I asked where she got it and it was SHEIN. I personally don’t want to shop there so I was like, alas! Then I checked Poshmark and magically it was there, in my size, for $16. Anyway. I get thousands of compliments on it every single time I wear it. It’s too long and I am finally skilled enough to do something about that so perhaps I will.

Just making peace with how pale my upper arms are. That’s life.

I didn’t get a full-length photo but I did get new blush and took a photo of that. Didn’t I take a blush-related photo last week? Yeah GET USED TO IT!! The lighting was bad no matter what direction I turned in so you can’t really tell I did anything different. Alas!

We are having a terrible heat wave but did you hear me whining??? NO!
