I’ll be revealing it officially on social media tomorrow, but as a VIP reader, you get the exclusive first look. 👀
Writing this one was so freakin fun. I desperately wanted a cover to evoke winter and the iconic hockey night in Canada post-game energy and this does exactly that.
If you feel like sharing the love when the cover goes live tomorrow, it means more than you know.💕
Without further ado, here is the cover for THE RIVALRY RESET:
Shoutout to the artist Leni Kauffman, the team at Berkley Romance, and @ thebooksarebetterjess for these adorable graphics that perfectly capture this book’s essence.

Synopsis:
A hockey broadcaster’s world is upended when her insufferable cohost wakes up with amnesia, and hopelessly in love with her, in this unforgettable romantic comedy from the international bestselling author of Set on You.
Marnie Miller loves her job as a broadcaster on the iconic Hockey Nation postgame show. She’s sharp, polished, and used to being underestimated. But nothing tests her composure like former NHL defenseman Parker Landry, whose blunt commentary and massive ego ignite a fiery on-air feud.
When a freak Zamboni accident lands Parker in the hospital with a head injury, he wakes up with no memory of Marnie and their rivalry. Now, Parker 2.0 is infuriatingly charming, devastatingly flirty, and head over skates for Marnie. Determined to snap him out of it, she makes it her mission to remind him why they can’t stand each other.
But the more time they spend together, the more Marnie realizes the line between love and hate is razor-thin—and that maybe they’ve been playing on the wrong side of it all along.
A little behind-the-scenes…
The initial idea came to me while rewatching 50 First Dates, which is one of the all-time great rom-coms imo, because it asks the question: What if someone had to fall in love with you over and over again? Of course, my brain immediately made it worse (oe better) by asking: What if the two people involved actually hated each other first? What if one of them woke up in love with the person they previously haaated?
I wrote most of this book shortly after my second daughter was born, during a time where writing felt almost impossible. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I still had the same spark for writing in general.
But these two characters were so clear in my head bickering, flirting, and driving each other bonkers! Writing their story felt fun again and reminded me of the joy of romance. I think Marnie and Parker ended up becoming one of my favorite couples I’ve written.
Preorder THE RIVALRY RESET
Truly, preordering makes such a huge difference for authors. Preorders count toward the book’s first week of sales, which is how publishers and bookstores decide things like:
• how many copies stores stock
• whether the book gets extra publishing house support
• whether I can write future books for you
And as an added bonus, preordering means the book will magically appear on your e-reader or doorstep on release day! As someone currently raising two small humans, I am very much here for this as a life strategy.
You can preorder here:
(Or wherever you normally buy books!)
Thank you, as always, for reading my stories and supporting me. More to come in the lead up!!
