Festive Christmas Sensory Bin Ideas

Since so many of you told me you love sensory play, here are a few easy, holiday-themed bins that are perfect for toddlers through early elementary:

Peppermint Rice Bin
– White rice dyed red & green
– Add scoops, cookie cutters, candy cane shapes
– Smells amazing if you mix in a drop of peppermint extract

Arctic Animals Winter Bin
– Cotton balls or fake snow
– Toy polar bears, penguins, seals
– Funnels, mini buckets, and snowflake confetti

Christmas Treasure Hunt
– Fill a bin with kinetic sand
– Hide bells, ornaments, mini presents
– Give kids “clue cards” to find each item

Gingerbread Bakery Bin
– Brown kinetic sand
– Gingerbread cookie cutters
– Rolling pin, beads for “candy”

These are fun, easy, and buy you a solid 20 minutes of peaceful holiday magic.
