Clever: Please share a few of your major milestones since your episode of Clever first aired in May 2016?
Joe: I did end up winning the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award. I’ve started several new ventures focused around the intersection of Design, Innovation and sustainability. Notably Airiva the wind turbine wall I developed. Also we’ve formed a new company to develop and distribute the climate responsive paint I also created. Busy finishing up an installation for May with a sound system I developed in collaboration with AI called Transmissions. Opening May 15th at Heft Gallery NYC.
Clever: Please offer one brief reflection on your experience of Clever.
Joe: I had no idea what I was getting in to, but knowing Amy and Jaime I had every faith it was going to be something interesting. It is such an honor to have been the first guest among the many, many luminaries who followed.
