PLUS: Amy's past two weeks!

On the road

It’s been a busy May here on the campaign — we’ve spent the last few weeks making stops all over Ohio. We’ve got the headlines to prove it…

Last week, Amy stopped in Ironton to honor Ohio veterans and pay tribute to Lawrence County servicemembers who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms.

“It’s an honor to acknowledge people who come before us who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and many of the families and friends here and veterans that are also with us today. This whole ceremony has reminded me of why we do what we do in public service and what we’re fighting for, the freedoms we all hold dear.” - Dr. Amy Acton

Amy also stopped in Huron, Ohio for a meet-and-greet with folks in Erie County!

The Sandusky Register: “She received several standing ovations and got chants of “Amy, Amy” as she promised to save public schools and libraries, provide free breakfasts and lunches for schoolchildren and shut down corruption in Columbus.”

On Friday, May 22, Amy had a massive rally in Canton with hundreds of educators, community members, and supporters. The rain couldn’t keep us from bringing the heat!

Amy also spent Memorial Day Weekend honoring those we’ve lost with a meet-and-greet with veterans and their families in Dayton.

This past week, Amy returned home to Youngstown for a very exciting event: not only did she hold a press conference to discuss the details of her ActOn Affordability Agenda, but the campaign also announced an endorsement from the Western Reserve Building Trades.

She then treated the team and some members of the Building Trades to a Youngstown staple — Handel’s Ice Cream!

On the same day, she sped up to Cleveland for an event with City Council President Blaine Griffin at community landmark Academy on Larchmere.

The work doesn’t stop here on Team Acton and we’re so glad you’re along for the ride with us.

If you have room in your budget to spare this week and want to help power this grassroots movement, pitch in a contribution today. On average, folks are pitching in $29 or less to fuel this work.
