It’s been wonderful hearing from so many of you this past month, joining in on Eyes of the Wild by Eleanor O’Hanlon. Thank you to everyone who’s signed up for the meet this weekend.
We will sit deeply with the work of reweaving a spiritual relationship with our wild kin, guided by the many great healing powers and teachings contained within this book.
We’ll read some stories and myths, and have the chance to share resonant quotes or excerpts — and I will offer curated discussion prompts to help us draw as much collective wisdom and nourishment from this important work.

About the Book
By transcending the view of plants as the objects of scientific materialism, Gagliano encourages us to rethink plants as people - beings with subjectivity, consciousness, and volition, and hence having the capacity for their own perspectives and voices. The book draws on up-close-and-personal encounters with the plants themselves, as well as plant shamans, indigenous elders, and mystics from around the world and integrates these experiences with an incredible research journey and the groundbreaking scientific discoveries that emerged from it.
Monica Gagliano PhD, is Research Associate Professor of Evolutionary Ecology at the University of Western Australia. Her work has extended the concept of cognition (including perception, learning processes, memory and consciousness) in plants.

On the final Sunday in June, we’ll gather in a facilitated space designed for depth, reflection and dialogue on the book’s key themes and ideas - and the wider work of healing relationships between people, the living earth, and the sacred.
