In last week’s article we explored the executive decision-making ecosystem formed by the 1st Tier decision (the organization’s fundamental approach to asset management) and the 2nd Tier decision (periodic approval of the Strategic Asset Management Plan). These two tiers create the operating system that defines value and turns it into consistent outcomes.
This article begins a two-part exploration of planning and action — the critical bridge between those high-level decisions and day-to-day results. In this first part we focus on the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). The second part will examine how the SAMP is executed through subordinate Asset Management Plans (AMPs).
Throughout both parts we will show how the Asset Management (AM) Framework makes this bridge practical, repeatable, and powerful for executives and asset managers alike.
