At the Amela Frequency 📡, every Monday, we reflect on tech news, share thoughts from our network ✍️, and hand you tools and frameworks for early-stage builders ⚒️. If you’re building (or dreaming about it), you’re in the right place.
Hi Amelxs👋
I had a conversation today that really resonated with me, I am starting to think that every Monday I should definitely have at least one founder conversation 🙈
A potential Amela, brilliant idea, real conviction, clear problem she wanted to solve, and a running company. And when we got to the business model and revenue something shifted. Not because she hadn’t thought about it. She is obviously smart, so she had spent time thinking about it. But somewhere between “I want to make an impact” and “I need to charge for this,” there was a gap. A hesitation. A sense that revenue was almost secondary to the mission.
I get it. I’ve felt it too. But I also know where that road ends.
Mark Cuban said something on the Emma Grede Show that I keep coming back to: “No sales. No company.”
Most businesses don’t fail because the product is bad. They fail because they never figure out how to sell it. The obsession goes into building: the MVP, the branding, the deck, and not enough into the fundamental question: will someone actually pay for this, and how do I get them to?
Here’s what frustrates me about the content landscape: almost everything out there on sales and go-to-market is built for companies that already have some traction.
How to go from €50K MRR to €200K.
How to optimize a sales pipeline that already exists.
But almost nobody is teaching the zero-to-something. How do you find your first customers? How do you price? How do you actually build that mythical sales pipeline? How do you have the conversation that ends in a yes?
That gap is exactly where we want to be at Amela. And it’s why I’m excited to announce we’re launching a sales and go-to-market course with someone who has done this from the ground up: Angeley Mullins, and someone who has been a mentor to some of our Amelas with an amazing track record I must say (those 5⭐s don’t earn themselves).
If you’re building something, this one’s for you, and even if this one is not for you please focus on Sales or tell your founder friend to do so.
hugs,
Most founders don’t fail because of product: they fail because they never build a repeatable way to reach customers. In this hands-on cohort led by GTM expert Angeley Mullins, you’ll learn how to clarify your positioning, define your audience, and build a sales system that actually generates momentum. Practical, tactical, and designed for early-stage founders who need traction, not theory.
Most founders don’t have a building problem: they have a clarity problem!
This live cohort helps aspiring founders validate ideas faster, sharpen decision-making, and avoid wasting months building something nobody actually wants. Through mental models, customer conversations, and structured feedback, you’ll leave with clearer direction and stronger conviction.
