Confession: I adore a love story. I read them, I write them, I watch them. Give me a romantic song and I’m belting it out in the car. But I really don’t like Valentine’s Day. How about you? Does the holiday make you roll your eyes or get on the phone for restaurant reservations?
Regardless of how I feel about Valentine’s Day, I’m always going to jump on board any excuse to celebrate romantic stories. So on that note, here’s a list of some love stories to fit a variety of tastes:
If you want a timeless story about second chances, regret, and forgiveness with exquisite amounts of longing: Persuasion by Jane Austen
If you want a love story with Christian themes, complicated characters, dynamite chemistry, and an honest look at motherhood: Before Grace by Anna Daugherty
If you like Persuasion, but want a modern twist: Much Ado about Nada by Uzma Jalaluddin

And OF COURSE, I can’t make a list of romantic novels without reminding you of my own books. Do you want a second chance romance starring a mature heroine with some mother-daughter drama and characters that become like friends? Try You Again.
Do you want a slow-burn, small town romance between two wounded and broken people with snappy dialog and plenty of feel-good vibes? Try With You.
