I first subscribed to MasterClass on a hot summer day seven years ago, desperate for something to do with my teenage son that was healthier than YouTube—and more entertaining than school. It turned out to be a portal into a big world. We took classes on magic, negotiation, cooking and how to DJ. There were courses by John Legend, Margaret Atwood and Mindy Kaling. We tried a dog training course that definitely did not help and a writing class that definitely did.

This summer, I’m thrilled to announce my new MasterClass, The Conflict Playbook. Not quite as fun as a DJ class…but a very useful kind of magic, in my experience! ✨

The Conflict Playbook is based on everything I’ve learned from reporting on conflict and from training thousands of people through Good Conflict. It’s just under an hour, broken into 25 fast-paced lessons.

You’ll learn:

  • The First Five Minutes Rule

  • The Four Conflict Personality Types

  • How to Investigate the Understory of Any Conflict

  • The Two Hidden Forces Driving Dysfunctional Office Clashes

Here’s why this matters: We are living in a time of runaway conflict. And over half of employees say they handle conflict by ignoring it. Don’t let this be you.

Getting more comfortable with healthy conflict is a modern-day survivable skill, a way to stay sane at home and succeed at work in an unpredictable world.

Watch the 90-second trailer below. Take the course here.

And hey, just in time for summer break, MasterClass is offering a 50% off promo for Memorial Day weekend. Go save some money!

And if you already subscribe, let me know in the comments which courses you recommend. (I have my eye on Modern Japanese Cooking by Niki Nakayama and Mindfulness by Jon Kabat-Zinn.)

Here’s to a summer full of useful magic,

Amanda
