When I was a kid / adolescent, my parents kept what they called “The List.” This list was full of dumb things I did, that I should never, under any circumstance, do again. For example, when I was 9, I didn’t know the difference between conditioner and shampoo. Upon the realization that my greasy hair was a result of only using conditioner for a week they said, “Add it to the list!” followed by an audible recitation of all previous grievances in order of occurrence. For better or worse, I’ve never forgotten the list!
As the list grew in length over the years, I’ve decided to keep my very own personal list full of dumb things I do, so I never do them again…lol. (I’ve been told only old millennials use lol these days and it makes me want to use LOL all the more!)
