Dear readers, journal-keepers, art-enthusiasts, and friends,

The 28-day Reset has come to an end… for now. If you have been playing along, thank you! This community's enthusiasm has really motivated me to keep the momentum up this month. Your posts, comments, and kind words for each other have given me hope for the future—even when the news headlines are decidedly bleak. Thank you for making space for curiosity, reflection, new skills, and creativity amid so many distractions. How fun it has been to “do it anyway” with all of you!

For those who have not yet tried their hand at this—or if you would like to work through it again—this post is for you! While you may have missed the July dates, the information lives on. Consider bookmarking this page (or sharing it) so it is easy to find later.

Here are all the program pieces in one place:

What’s Next?

  • Sketchbook Tour: I’ll be doing a full sketchbook walk-through soon. I’m just finishing up some of the prompts before I make that available—yes, even I needed a little extra time to make the pages sing.

  • Water Color & Gouache Series: Based on feedback from the reset, I’d like to do a series of videos on gouache and watercolor — possibly two short series aimed at folks who are new to the mediums.

  • Creativity Reset Zine: I am toying with the idea of creating a ‘zine or booklet of this program. Something that you could have in physical form as a reference to do this process once a year, or something you could give to a friend who needed a creative pick-me-up. I’ll likely add some additional prompts and an essay or two… so stay tuned!

  • Art Supplies: Many have asked for a list of art supplies that I adore — not just for the reset but for daily art journaling in general. I will aim to provide this soon and post it here as an article for easy reference.

  • New Notebook: And of course, I now must pick my next notebook (or two). I am leaning towards a Shinola sketchbook and a Moleskine journal for writing, but I’ll keep you posted on where I land.

In the meantime, please let me know in the comments if any of the above interests you. And comment below if the reset has unlocked any particular next steps for you. I always love to hear from you.

If you like the idea (and/or the experience) of this Creativity Reset, please consider sharing this article with a friend. Keeping creative journals together is a wonderful way to deepen a friendship.

Thanks, all! Have a wonderful August!

Amanda
