Earlier this month, we got some truly disheartening news. It turns out Trump’s terrible job numbers in July only hurt women. What does that mean? It means that overall, the economy lost 23,000 jobs in July, and every job lost was held by a woman. (Women lost 32,000 jobs, while men gained 9,000.) And it wasn’t just July. The New Republic reports the number of women who have left the workforce since January is more than double the number of men.
