Welcome back to Money Diaries, where I share how much I spent and on what as a way to hold myself accountable (pun intended) and also lessen the natural taboo nature of money talk in general. This idea was unabashedly borrowed from Rosemary Mac Cabe who writes her own “How Much Did I Spend Last Week?” segment and for that we thank her.
If you didn’t catch volume 1, definitely take a few minutes to go read it so you’re up to speed on this segment because it’s going to be on-going. And, as a reminder, I will not ever share the big numbers like mortgage and daycare costs. Money Diaries is strictly focused on what I personally spend on the seemingly essential stuff that adds up quick.
Coming off that $527 birthday dinner from last Sunday, I was hellbent on not spending a single dime last Monday, and guess what? I DIDN’T. Starting the week off strong.
