I first encountered the internet through dial-up on my parent's first computer in the states, then a Psion series 5mx handheld in 2000 or so, again using a dial-up modem. Surfing the web was a simpler affair then, with no social media (as it is now) and I mainly used it for email. Simpler times. Bing Bong Bing Bong - RIP AOL - you connected a lot of people.
