Hi, hello, hey now. I’ve barely managed to try on the Tibi summer collection and the new fundamentals are upon us. Anyone else in the same boat? Blue fog, mustard, Navy, Red Clay, and Camo - what a palette ❤️ No full recap Style Class for you all this week but It was a good one and I have some half formed Hot Takes including:

Last year I lost my mind over the Tie Dye Tucks (a few sizes still left on sale) and this year will be all about the Camouflage Tucks. What can I say except that the Tuck jean can handle print, obviously. It was fun to see how Sarah, Amy, and Traci styled these - I liked Sarah’s top (on the left, above) the best, and Traci’s shoes (on the right). P.S. More Traci on Style Class please!!!! We learned that Traci loves the Ali sandal which made me wonder if I should add an Ali to my collection. Given that I have the Jack from last season and two pairs of Barrys, I had talked myself out of the Ali, but if it’s Traci’s favorite….

Anyway, I love the camouflage and almost bought Ann Mashburn’s nicely tailored version last year but missed them before they sold out.

Anthro’s Pilcro version is a less expensive alt that I recently tried on and liked. These are oversized - take your true size or size down.

I’ve also tried on the Citizens of Humanity flight pant in camouflage which is closer in styling to the tucks and still comes out a little cheaper. Size down in these as well!

I cannot wait to play with these color combos with pieces I already have! The red with the taupe! The inky blue with the red skirt and the khaki Gerard sandal (middle picture) that makes everything better. These damn sandals sent me down a rabbit hole searching for olive or khaki sandals as a less expensive alt for the Gerard. I didn’t find anything comparable, but I also didn’t try very hard. Geez I love Tibi shoes.

Boring black pants and denim be gone, all I want to wear are RED PANTS. Style class showed us that they are really a neutral. Wear them with everything! Take your pick: Alec (my choice), Bio Twill (2nd choice, I own the short version in the original color and wear them all the time), or the fan favorite Winslow (maybe, I strangely don’t have this Tibi classic, not sure why). If you are in the market for less expensive alts, summer weight red pant options abound - cuties from the GAP, J.Crew, and Zara.

Scroll down to the video at the bottom to see me unbox all of these items if you are interested ❤️

After much consideration, research, try-ons, and stern discussions with myself, I have acquired:

Luxe Spring Twill Tucked Pleated Wide Leg Short - Was out of stock in my size but available at the St. Simons store. I was happy I had tried these on so knew my size and knew I would love them.

Calcimin Denim Midi Trouser Zip Skirt - So unique - so fab w/ the double zipper.

Cozy Rudolph Flat in Dusty Green. The color!

Shirred Neck Circular T-Shirt - This is still full price at Tibi but I found it on resale at Future Reference. YES!

Steven, pretending not to know me.
  • Old H&M button down, a better Frank and Eileen option that I own and love, old Free People running (haha) shorts, just get the Umbros, Tory Burch Miller sandals to keep you from looking like you are trying too hard to look cool in your running shorts. The best beach bag.

  • In my natural habitat, shopping. Tibi tank from last year, this year’s version is on sale and mostly sold out - I bet you can find it at boutiques or by contacting the flagship/St. Simons. Jamie Haller jean shorts via TRR. Daughter Three’s Margaux flats via ThredUp. Chloe bag with DIY bag charms. You won’t catch me with a water bottle but I’ve been hauling around Big Gulps since 1986.

  • This girl loves an overall. These are last season Tibi and Tibi Beryens via TRR. Here’s a cute orange pair on Poshmark.

Our video features Tibi sale items and the first two gifted items I’ve ever received. Note, gifted just means a company sent me something. They aren’t paying me to talk about it. Running my mouth about Stuff and Things seems to come naturally 😂

  • Daughter Three in my Tibi skirt - It’s old, I (we) wear it constantly. I find the waistband surprisingly snug - I wear a medium. Here’s an XS on TRR.

  • My Jamie Haller denim shorts bought via TRR - here’s a pair in a lighter wash on TRR.

  • All Tibi purchases linked above.

  • Hestan Titanium Skillet for Steve, Happy Father’s Day ❤️. To each his own, but I would rather have a Tibi skirt than a kitchen item - good Lord. What can I say except this is a 1) pretty and 2) very shiny 3) pan. I think it’s technically a skillet with a lid (?). “Oh it’s so much more than that.” said Steve in wonder and gratitude.

  • K18 Dry Shampoo (Gifted) - God bless Gen Z for their enthusiasm to try a product on the spot while I am putting on my readers to review the directions for use. Actual review pending more thoughtful testing.

  • Dime Perfume (Gifted) - Seven Summers - yum, smells nice - like summer actually. For me, it’s a little sweet and a little young but scent is so personal! No. 1 Cologne - definitely intended for men but I might wear it. I like more masculine, musky scents. I also like men in cologne and would be delighted for Steve to smell like this. He usually smells faintly of barbeque (which is not entirely unpleasant) and only wears cologne on holidays, yet is constantly spraying Febreze near our French bulldog who smells like corn chips (again, not entirely unpleasant).

  • I read five books in Hawaii!

Heart the Lover (I know I’m late to the party on this one) was so dreamy and I loved the surprise twist at the end. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Lily King: my favorite is Father of the Rain.

Show Don’t Tell - short stories by another of my favorite authors. I loved that we got to hear from Sittenfeld’s most iconic and endearing character, Lee Fiora, at the end.

The Woman in Cabin 10 - a fast paced murder mystery suspense kind of thing. Fun vacation read.

The Things We Never Say was melancholy and kind of a downer for me. It’s beautifully written, like all Elizabeth Strout books, and set in coastal Maine - like so many of her books - in such a lovely way that you feel like you are there.

The Land and Its People - Of course I consumed David Sedaris’ latest round of essays in just under a day. So funny, so crotchety, so original.

  • If you are also a fan of Sedaris, you will enjoy this GQ piece about his style and love of shopping. Celebrities, they are just like us.

Any Tibi sale successes to report? Thoughts on the new fundamentals? Are you reading anything great? I love to chat in the comments!!!!

Thanks so much for reading!
