Ergonomics Part 3
The ergonomics saga continues (part 1, part 2). I’m still using tried and tru Ikea Karlby counter top on Alex drawers, but I invested in a dedictated latop arm, and KVM for my webcam and periferals. With WFH being the norm, having a good remote presence is essential, and a good microphone and webcam are an easy way to elevate yourself.

I have faith that the internet is still fun. So every now and then I’ll directly email people I admire. When it first started it was a novelty (ARPANET) then fun (AOL IM) then it enshitified by spammers.
Data Deception Despair
The NPD leak is the largest data leak of PII in American history. It includes phone numbers, addresses, emails, and full names. Those combined would allow most attackers to easily take over enough accounts to make some money. Instead, the vector that attackers have chosen is a lot more impersonal.
Catching The AI Wave
Last year I attended GitHub Universe 2024 virtually. The biggest thing that stood out to me was how much they were pushing Copilot and VS Code’s AI integrations towards their goal of 1 billions developers. The genie is out of the bottle, and to be a professional engineer going forward you need to know how to leverage AI technology for your every day work.

This post came up and made me look back at my own blog. It’s weird to think that I’ve been blogging for 7 years. I made it just to try it out, then after awhile it just becomes a part of what I do. It feels like a chores having think about new posts or revising previous posts.
