A collection of loveliness from June; stationery, sunshine, flowers, altars and magic!

Wow, that heatwave got me last week. I was doing well and then I crashed on Saturday and I’ve been gently recovering over the past few days. I can do heat quite well on holiday but It can be a lot harder when you are home!

I’ve still had some lovely moments to share this month though. I think it’s so useful to reflect back at the end of each month. Even months that are tricky or end feeling like you haven’t done all you wanted to, have some gold in them too. I invite you to review your June today.

I had a lovely trip to Brighton and squeezed in a lunch in London with a special friend on the way. It was really cold and wet until the morning I travelled home!

I took part in a beautiful workshop with Susannah Conway as part of the On Paper festival in Bath and then returned a couple of days later for the big stationery Grand Fair. It was packed with wonderful things and gorgeous people. A bit of a sensory overload but I paced it well and remembered to leave before the overwhelm hit! I mainly bought stickers. There were so many wonderful ones for my journals and of course, for my laptop too! If they run the festival again next year (this was it’s second year) then go if you can…and love stationery as much as I do!

(the middle image is of the intention cards I created in Susannah’s workshop and photographed back at home amongst my roses)

My favourites from the Grand Fair were…. Dusted Sunshine - Luna & Starlight - Oh Laura - Wendy Yun Studio - Literary Craft Parlour.

My first Dahlias of the year have flowered. And so many sweet peas. I pick them every evening and it makes me so happy before bedtime!

On Saturday evenings we dance at Conscious Dance Frome and this month I was invited to create a Rose Altar for one of the June dances. All the roses came from my garden, so it really was special. You can read more about my love of dance over here.

We celebrated the Summer Solstice on some magical land just outside of Frome (in Somerset, land of the Summer people!) with lots of friends and made some new ones. We danced amongst the trees, sang around the fire and shared in some beautiful rituals. A very special way to mark the mid-way of the year and set our intentions for the next half of the year.

Finally, I’ve got stuck into my Emily Quinton substack and this afternoon I am running my first Creative Hour for my paid subscribers there. An hour of creative body doubling, to make and create whatever you want, knowing that others are being creative at the same time. If that sounds like something you would like, you can read more here. I would love to see some of you there!

Oh and I’ve also been doing lots of ready and writing. I’ll share more about both soon! xo

I wanted to get into a bit more a flow with All Sorts of Lovely in June, so please be patient with me while I find my rhthym in this space. xo
