sometimes i lose my name and become "the thing that is tired and afraid" the thing that is suspended between states i put on clothes that aren't mine i play the role and stay in line sometimes... i give my life away . .. . . but as the sun comes up in the morning and as the leaves greet the rain my feet awaken and the earth makes a claim over my soul its roots over the thing that is tired and afraid the earth calls for me and i porclaim: "i cast you away oh fear of fear i cast you away!" "i take claim over my home and my body i cast you away!" the spell breaks even if for a moment and i finally remember my name . .. . . A poem for forgetting, and the remembeing that finds its way. Much love, Zulfa
