I recently came across a video that talked about glimmers, and I fell in love. Basically it means to look for the little glimmers (small joys) that make life beautiful and hold onto them and cherish them. So that’s exactly what I’m going to do!
Refilling my creative well is always so much fun after writing a book! And what better way to get creative than by literally getting my hands dirty, and making blackberry jam!
It’s delicious, and yes I licked the spatula once I was done! I can’t wait to make thumbprint cookies with this homemade jam. If I could share them with everyone I would. :)
So how might this end up in a book one day??!
It’s all in the details:
The purple stained fingers. My dress catching on the brambles, the prick of the thrones, the sound of the creek and the chill of the water, the ethereal sunlight passing through the trees, the celebration of girhood and the the soft, sweet moments we shared at the farm. All these little details serve my wiritng by feeding my imagination and the world I love to create.
So when a writer isn’t behind their computer, it doesn’t mean they aren’t writing. It just means they are collecting details for their worlds!
