A lot of my students were struggling with acquiring vocabulary. I often hear: “I don’t like learning by heart,” “I forget everything the next day,” “It’s just boring,” etc.
But what if I told you that it’s not about you, it’s about the way you’ve been learning? You’ve never been taught how to learn, and how your brain actually works. Some people love memorizing by heart, others prefer writing, and some learn best by just listening. You see, everyone has their own method. The key is finding what works best for you.
Ask yourself:
Do I memorize better by listening to a document?
Do I memorize better with music?
Do I need to move to memorize something?
Do I need to act or use gestures?
Do I need colors in my notes?
Once you find out what works for you, it’s time to put it into practice! And that’s exactly what I do in my classes. 🎶✨
In my lessons, I use songs because who hasn’t heard their parents say, "songs are easy to remember, but the homework... not so much"? 😅 Songs can help reinforce vocabulary and make learning fun. 🎤🎶
I also use games that encourage you to apply what you’ve learned in a practical way, making the experience interactive and engaging. The more active you are in your learning, the better you'll retain the information!
If you want to explore more of these techniques and start making learning fun and effective, join my course where we focus on finding your best learning method while practicing with music, games, and real-life situations! 🎮📚
