I’m writing this newsletter with the studio windows open for the first time this year. The sunlight is sliding through the blinds, refracting in a glass of water on the desk. There’s a clanking and clunking from the construction site outside, drifting in on a fresh, lively breeze. Things are happening, spring is on the way.
Speaking of warmer days, I’ve been working on a new wildflower spot illustration/print series. I’m looking to do more print fairs and events this year so wanted to put together a collection of smaller prints for those. The lead image of this post is the, almost, full collection of flowers. These are all monoprints made using a gelli plate. If you’re interested in how these are made, I’ve put together a process video which you can watch below. If you have any questions or would like to know more, ask away!
marsh mallow, hemlock, cleavers, woodruff, primrose, loosestrife, pimpernel, speedwell, plantain, fireweed, dog rose, bindweed

I’m delighted to be exhibiting work at this year’s Sunny Bank Mills Print Festival. It’s a beautiful venue on the outskirts of Leeds, with an excellent lineup of printmakers present. Come say hi if you’re local!
