Hello my lovely pen pals - I’ve realized that new paid subscribers don’t have a way to view past mailed Most Ardently letters. So I plan to publish the newsletter text here each month, 15 or so days after the letters have been mailed in hopes of 1. not spoiling the monthly letter, 2. allowing newbies to be caught up to speed, and 3. giving free subs a glimpse inside the postcard club.

If you’ve been a paid subscriber since May of 2026, this article won’t be new to you, but thank you for being here anyway! Please excuse the quick backlog update as I catch us all up.

May this letter find you thriving. I’m fresh off a weeklong trip to France and finding my way through my inbox and to-do list. Mentally, I’ve dubbed this trip “My Week of Rest and Relaxation,” but honestly, I didn’t take a day off. Yes, I took PTO and was not beholden to logging my hours or working on any freelance projects. But I kept creating, and I looked forward to reliving my day each night.

Which, in a way, shouldn’t every day be like that? Not that every day should be filled with taking photos with abandon and ignoring my budget, but that I should always feel this… awake. The streets of Paris and the fields of France were the perfect escape from my head for a week. I felt fully present and enraptured by the sheer beauty of my surroundings.

But as the dust settles and I start to re-enter the “real world” once again, I’ve been struck by the realization that I had never considered what a marvel it is to be able to travel the world with such ease.
