Hello loves!

Welcome to the book club. Expect a selection of novels, playlists, cocktails, etc. to flow with the seasons. Rather than the typical monthly format, I thought it would be nice to share a read with some of my closest friends near and far every three months or so. Low stakes, no pressure, just a group of readers and wanderers from all over.

So, if you’re reading this, thank you for choosing to stay in touch. I sincerely hope the connections and conversations we create together here go far beyond this page (or in this case, phone screen) in your hands.

Our first pick of the year is a new release, fiction, and a love story. (Because let’s face it, spring is the time for romance!)

The spring 2025 read is…. Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. (Release date: April 22, 2025)

If you’re down to stick around and find out what this book club has in store, please grab yourself a copy — join a library waitlist, pick one up from your local bookstore, order online from Bookshop.org, download the audiobook, however you like to read, jump in. (Just please please please don’t order it on Amaz*n.)

How this will go:

• Each season we’ll choose a new book to read together and I’ll mail you a few notes throughout the season with thoughts, questions, ideas, etc.

• Then we’ll pick an evening for us all to host our own book clubs, wherever we are. So invite your friends to read along with you, and you’ll have an excuse to gather and discuss the book.

PS my prompt or “challenge” to all of you this month is to reply to my postcard via mail with a postcard of your own and write in your suggestion(s) for our summer read that will kick off in July. No rules here— any genre, time period, or topic is on the table. don’t put us in a box because my first pick is a romcom.
