Hello friends! How was last week’s Solar Eclipse for you? What did you feel? What did you experience? What information did you receive? Solar Eclipses (and Lunar Eclipses, too) are linked to the North and South Nodes of fate, destiny, and karma, which yield the biggest, most important timeline shifts on a micro and macro level. Eclipses speed up time, perpetuate the inevitable, and open new doors (often, by slamming others shut).
Eclipses are major turning points—so, yes, even if the past few days have been relatively uneventful, that doesn’t mean you’re out of the woods yet. Sometimes the Eclipse can come in like a wrecking ball; other times, its implications are undetectable, but gradually—through time—we realize that whatever started during Eclipse Season rippled change through our life over weeks, months, and years.
NOT TO MENTION that we do, in fact, have another one en route—the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces is touching down next week, and while Solar Eclipses temporarily turn day into night, Lunar Eclipses transform the silvery, glittery Moon into a freaky shadow orb in the night sky (which is why we call them Blood Moons). Spooky!
Obviously, we’ll talk more about this in the days ahead, but first, let’s pour one out for the Virgos Suns because—by the end of the week—the Sun is shifting into the practical, thoughtful, and highly attuned Earth Sign. Happy Solar Return, Virgo babies! We need you and love you and YES WE APPRECIATE YOU!
More on this solar shift below—but also—a gentle apology for skipping your Monday email last week. I had just come back from hosting the most AMAZING retreat at Omega Institute with 70+ gorgeous magical beings—and needed to jump right back into my rigorous writing and recording podcast schedule (frankly, releasing 2x episodes per week is diabolical???), andddd I’m very much a toddler mom navigating the unpredictability of a chaotic summer schedule so I appreciate your patience! Suffice it to say, we did release a wonderful Solar Eclipse article, so I hope you had a chance to check that out, at least!
And, as always, you can always get your horoscope and weekly forecast on my podcast, AstroloTea! Speaking of which, this week’s brew is served:

Monday, August 17: Mars square Neptune
We kick off the week in a bit of a fog, with Mars in Cancer squaring Neptune in Aries, making it surprisingly difficult to know what the hell we’re actually doing. Mars wants action, momentum, and a clear target, but Neptune dissolves boundaries, blurs motivations, and makes everything feel a little slippery. In Cancer, Mars is already operating through emotion, memory, and protection, so this square can make us incredibly reactive …without necessarily understanding what we’re even reacting to???
Especially if you have planets around 3º of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn), watch for misplaced anger, emotional projection, or the urge to force an answer when you simply don’t have enough information yet. Give it beat, baby!!!
Monday, August 17: Mercury trine Saturn
Thankfully, Mercury and Saturn have arranged a very important business meeting, and they’re getting straight to work. Mercury in Leo aligning with Saturn in Aries helps organize our thoughts, communicate our needs, and turn big ideas into concrete plans. Mercury in Leo is infused with confidence and creativity, while Saturn in Aries demands we get serious. This is excellent astrology for making decisions, having imporant conversations, establishing boundaries, signing off on plans, or figuring out the logistics behind something you’ve been imagining.
Monday, August 17: Venus sextile Jupiter
Luck be a lady! Venus is thriving in Libra (one of her ruling signs)—and forming a harmonious sextile to Casino Daddy Jupiter in Leo— we can expect some pleasure, generosity, and maybe a little abundance to come our way. These are the two benefics, after all! Hot dog! This is gorgeous astrology for socializing, dating, collaborating, or shooting your shot. Opportunities can also arrive through relationships, introductions, invitations, and articulated appreciation for what you’re putting out into the world. J’adore!
Friday, August 21: Venus opposite Saturn
Alas, by Friday, Venus will have moved from Jupiter’s warm embrace directly into Saturn’s interrogation room. Venus in Libra will oppose Saturn in Aries, putting relationships, agreements, money, reciprocity, and self-worth in the hot seat. Saturn introduces reality into the equation… but reality can have very unflattering lighting. Fluorescent overhead fixtures—who’s the evil villain that invented those? But, consider what this push-and-pull may be revealing: Where have you been investing time, love, or money without receiving enough in return? Something that felt easy earlier in the week may suddenly require a more serious conversation, but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s broken. Saturn wants durability, and whatever survives this reality check has a much stronger foundation to stand on.
Saturday, August 22: Sun enters Virgo
Okay divas, get out the label maker: it’s time for Virgo Season! After a Leo Season defined by lots of drama, the Sun’s entrance into Virgo asks us to take everything that has been revealed and figure out what we’re actually going to do with it. Virgo is mutable Earth, which means this energy is practical without being stagnant: it edits, adjusts, organizes, refines, and improves. Over the next month, we’re moving from inspiration to implementation, paying attention to quality over quantity. You don’t need to have everything figured out—but you do need to start figuring out how the systems you invest in right now will define the next season of your life. Is that tea? You bet it is.
Sunday, August 23: Sun trine Chiron
ANDDDDDD keep in mind that Virgo Season begins with an immediate trine between the Sun and Chiron, connecting two Earth signs and helping us understand that improvement should never be fueled by punishment. Chiron is newly retrograde at 0° Taurus, bringing us back into questions around stability, security, value, resources, and what makes us feel genuinely supported, while the Virgo Sun wants to identify practical ways of healing those tender places. Something you’ve been struggling with may suddenly become easier to understand because you can finally see what it actually needs.
And because both celestial bodies are at the critical 0° point, it underscores that we’re at the very beginning of brand new stories, learning new ways to define usefulness and practicality. Perhaps you’re addressing some narratives for the first time ever—or old situations from a totally different perspective. Are there any small adjustments that could help you better manage your time? Your agency? Your power? What can you begin practicing now that your future self will be incredibly grateful you started?
Of course, for more detailed dives into what this means for each and every sign, tune into my podcast! New episode on the week ahead is SERVED!
