Mother’s Day is now 3 weeks away and for us the day usually consists of a cute card, flowers, and a chocolate chip pancake breakfast (with a heavy side of whipped cream only, no maple syrup).
If I do get something for Mother’s Day, it’s usually something special, custom, or a framed photo (I love Framebridge for that). Or something I am in dire need of. Most of the time, anything physical I need, I buy myself.
This year, we are doing a weekend trip to Rhode Island. Ocean House has been at the top of our list to stay at, and I am desperately trying to get a kick start to a New England summer. So this year we are finally going and taking Millie and Scout with us. Praying for some sun or some sweater weather beach walks!
Anyways, I came across a few things on the internet that I thought I’d share. Chase, if you are reading this, any of these would make cute Mother’s Day gifts. HINT HINT.
this yellow pj set - love marigold anything and this one is under $120.
this brown striped tote - never met a striped bag I didn’t want.
this tablecloth - darling for spring hosting or a bday party at the park!
this green maxi - saw this dress on a friend and going fast, tres chic!
this white vase - would be a perfect centerpiece for your flowers.
this green eye mask - calling all my tennis lovers! I can’t sleep without one, I am addicted and own several.
this brown cashmere sweater - lots of colors and I am missing this color.
this cute sun hat - would be really cute for a gardening lover.
this floral bandana - the blue is sold out but the lavender is my favorite.
this colorful arm cuff - a unique pop from one a favorite jewelry brand.
this mustard tote - the moms totes of all mom toes! idk why I waited so long, I wear it almost every day.
this gold bracelet - I gifted this to my MIL and wear mine every day.
these striped green napkins - an upgrade for your linens in a cute stripe!
this red bandana bag you have been seeing everywhere. My friend got the yellow, and I am doing the same with a second.
these oval frame sunglasses - under $150 sunnies for the 100 that go lost.
these red striped PJs - my favorite pajama brand always makes the cutest washable silk prints. My mom would love these.
these sneakers - I am not a Salomon girl, but everyone in nyc is! for you girlies here ya go.
these red flip flops - a pop of red makes me happy, can’t beat the price.
these stud earrings - I love this collection and these are only $200! if she doesn’t already have a good pair, now is the time!
this brown jacket - barbour is timeless, and this color is a classic.
this rainbow necklace - a fun addition for your daily tops!
this yellow bow top - Chase I want this.
these floral undies - floral and lace, is there a better cheeky combo?
This crisp white button down deserves an honorable mention! It just didn’t show the “mother” embroidery as clearly for you to see it’s value! It’s not custom, just a shirt you can buy with a cute mom embroidery as is. I ordered it and will be wearing on Mother’s Day!
Second honorable mention goes to these PJs. Because the photography and marketing alone sold me. Cutest mother / daughter duo if you ask me.
Lastly, as much as I love flowers, I am not a person who has fresh cut flowers in my home every day. I would love to be that girl, but I can’t deal with the mess, maintenance, and the fact that they die so quickly.
I would much prefer to have beautiful, fake flowers that look real!
Enter Apartment 387. Chase - I would much prefer these over overpriced Butterfield flowers that will die in a few days. STEPHANIE15 gets you 15% off, too.
That and a clean apartment, Millie’s laundry done, no toys on the floor, and a dinner with no cleanup time. Not a lot to ask for! When in doubt, lean into their love languages since that is what they value and are worth the most.
You love what you love, so know what they love! For those who want to shop the whole edit here is my full Mother’s Day round up in one place.
Happy (almost) Mother’s Day, everyone. Make those mamas feel extra special and recognize the mamas who are not here or the ones who are struggling becoming a mama.
Big hugs all.
xx,
Steph
