I haven’t written in a couple of weeks. There have been some new developments with respect to my writing. I have been trying to figure out what exactly I want to write about versus what my readers want to hear, and it’s been a challenge.

Honestly, I enjoy writing about life. The trials, the wins, and everything in between. I also enjoy writing about God, my faith, and how it all connects together. Somewhere along the way, I lost confidence in my ability to give people value.

Recently I have been stuck between writing things for others and writing for myself. All in an effort to make writing a career as well as a hobby. I am a writer and it’s what I need to do to be happy.

After considering several pivots and trying a couple new things, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to write for me. It won’t be authentic any other way. If folks find what I have to say’s valuable or entertaining, that is extra.

I can only write about things that move me. The chaos of my mind is what makes my writing worth reading. I might seem to be all over the place, but if look closely, you’ll see the pattern.

I write about struggle and ways to conquer it. I write about my life as a Christian that is trying hard to see the world through the lens of scripture. This leaves a lot of wiggle room for varied topics, but it is always centered on my faith in Christ.

Sometimes, the simplest and easiest approach is the one that makes the most sense. Ever since I stopped posting daily, and tried to “make things better”, I have been writing less. I’m spending too much time looking for ways to expand, grow, and optimize. What I need to be doing is writing.

So, back to basics, daily writing…no excuses. I will post the pieces I find the most worthy, the ones that will bring value to those who need it and to connect with those that want to. As long as I continue to write what God puts on my heart, I’ll let Him handle the rest. My mission is to write, then get out of God’s way.

If you’re already subscribed, thank you. I hope you are all still in this with me for the journey. If you’re not and you like what you read, consider subscribing below or on my blog It’s won’t cost you a penny.

Now, back to writing.
