I grew my LinkedIn audience from 2k (random, old connections) to 10k followers within 90 days.
Today, 13 months later, I have over 45,000 followers. WILD!! Sometimes I can’t quite believe it myself, because LinkedIn is one of the hardest social media platforms to grow a following on (if not THE hardest).
And I know, having a big follower number is a vanity metric. It doesn’t technically mean anything.
But, subconsciously, a big follower number gives you instant credibility. Let’s not deny that.
However, I know a ton of creators with HUUUGE, but utterly random audiences. This results in a confused algorithm, low engagement, and ultimately no (or very little) sales for their business.
What we want is an audience made up of your ideal customer persona, which is deeply interested in the value you’re providing and geared up to purchasing your services.
Therefore, if I woke up tomorrow with zero followers and zero credibility on LinkedIn, here’s exactly what I’d do to build (the right) momentum FAST.
