First Batch of the MT5 Expansion is Done

The MT5 rollout has officially started.

Eight strategies in the Algomatic Trading library now include complete MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors, ready to compile, test and run.

Two are completely free, so you can download the code and see exactly what Premium members are getting before upgrading. These are the first releases in the ongoing effort to bring the full library of systematic strategies from ProRealTime into MetaTrader 5.

Each of the eight updated strategy posts now includes:

• The complete MT5 EA code, ready to compile and run in your terminal

• The same logic and rules as the original ProRealTime version, adapted for MT5’s execution model

This continues the same translation process used for the strategies already converted: working through the codebase strategy by strategy, catching and fixing the platform-specific bugs that don’t show up until you actually run the EA live.

Right now there’s also a new portfolio builder tool for putting the translated strategies together into an actual MT5 algo portfolio, instead of evaluating each one in isolation.

Drop in the trade history (CSV or XLSX exports) from any combination of strategies and it combines them into a dashboard, blended equity curve and drawdown against a starting balance you set, a correlation matrix across strategies and portfolio-level KPIs alongside the per-strategy numbers. There’s also a VaR simulation mode for a read on downside risk at the portfolio level, specifically made for Darwinex.

It’s an early build and what gets added next isn’t fully decided. If there’s a specific feature you’d want in there, drop a comment or DM, reader input is what’s shaping this tool. Here’s what the current version looks like:

More strategies are in the translation queue. As each batch clears testing, the corresponding posts will get the same treatment: updated in place, EA code added, no new posts needed.

I’m also planning to release the portfolio builder soon. There’s no fixed date yet, but I’ll share more as it gets closer to release.
