If there is one beauty question I get asked on repeat it’s this: what’s on your lips? The honest answer is that it’s never just one thing. I rotate through a mix of lip combinations depending on the day, but usually some version of liner, colour and a touch of gloss or balm layered together.
My lip wardrobe is essentially different variations of a neutral lip. Same family, different personalities. Sometimes it’s a softly sculpted peach, sometimes a glossy rose, sometimes a blurred pinky nude with a little depth. Texture and tone are what make the difference.
I’ve realised over the years that a good lip combo is a bit like great tailoring: it subtly shapes everything. The liner adds structure, the lipstick brings tone, and the lip tint or balm gives life.
