When YouTube Says It's Not My Song...

Hello, Mudheads!

I have to admit, this one made me laugh.

I finally put together a fun AI-generated video for my song Senior Disco... and YouTube won’t let me post it because it says I’m using copyrighted music.

The funny part?

It’s my song.

Since my music is distributed through CD Baby, YouTube’s automated system recognized it and said, “Hold on there...” So while I sort that out, I thought, why not let the Mudheads see it first?

So you’re getting the premiere before anyone else.

My new book, Two Simple Rules: Finding Your Voice and Sharing It, is getting very close.

The manuscript is finished, but getting the paperback cover uploaded has turned out to be almost as challenging as writing the book! After wrestling with it for a while, I’ve decided to get a little professional help so it looks the way I want.

We’re getting close, and I’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.

This weekend I’m heading to the bluegrass festival to play a little music, catch up with friends, and soak in some great performances.

I’m sure I’ll come home with a few stories—and probably a few photos—so look for those next week.
