Completedworks | “Notsobig” Earrings

I love an odd pair of earrings. I recently featured this pair in an edition of The Five after buying them not too long ago, and they've reminded me just how drawn I am to mismatched earrings.

I think jewellery is one of the easiest ways to inject a bit of personality into what you're wearing, and an odd pair does exactly that, even if I'm just in a white T-shirt and jeans. These are quite subtle, but if you look closely, you realise they're completely different.

After all, getting dressed should be fun, and these are a little reminder that it doesn't always have to be so serious ;)

Trudon | La Promeneuse Abd El Kader Wax Melts

If Trudon aren’t already on your radar, they should be. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of their new fragrance recently, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. It’s really, really good.

It’s their wax melts I’ve got my eye on though. They look almost too good to use, and the packaging is just as beautiful. They’d make such a gorgeous gift, whether it’s for someone else or yourself (which is exactly what I’ll be doing).

Dissh | Vanessa Oversized Short Sleeve Shirt

I think the best pieces in a wardrobe are the ones that remove the decision-making. A matching set feels effortless because the outfit is already halfway done, which is why I’m such a fan of them. But the real test is how many different ways you can wear each piece on its own.

Dissh has a few separates in this polka-dot print alongside this shirt — including a cami, trousers and skirt — all designed to mix and match. I went for the shirt (which is now in the sale). It’s semi-sheer with a relaxed, longline silhouette, making it just as easy to throw over swimwear as it is to wear with the matching skirt or trousers…

Recent outfits have all felt pretty colourful for me! I’m actually really enjoying injecting colour into my looks after years of neutral dressing. Definitely influenced by Michael Rider’s CELINE, but I also think summer lends itself so well to having a bit of fun with dressing, and colour is a great way to do that.

Dissh | Vanessa Spot Pant

…and it was the trousers that I also couldn’t resist. Together, they make the perfect holiday set, but I know I’ll get just as much wear out of them on their own with a simple tank, swimming costume or even a black bikini top.

Now I just need to book another holiday so I have an excuse to wear them. Until then, you’ll find me swanning around Brighton pretending I’m abroad!

Loulou De Saison | AGORA Nappa Leather Sandals

I had a bit of a sandal dilemma recently. I bought the Phoebe Philo electric green flip-flops because they are just so fun. I really do like them, but once the initial excitement wore off, I found myself asking: are they actually me?

While I love the colour, I couldn’t quite justify the price for something I wasn’t sure I’d wear often enough. In the end, I took them back and went for this nappa leather pair from LouLou De Saison instead. They’re less of a statement, but they feel much more like something I’ll genuinely reach for — beautifully made and timeless.

Until next time,
