The wind is gently blowing over my home’s rooftop terrace. This morning’s sunrise was particularly spectacular… With Robert lying on my lap, we both quietly gratefully witnessed the bright emerging colors unfolding their vivid spark of beaming orange, yellow, and red blending, all displayed in some sort of long painting strokes through a welcoming light blue sky.
It’s difficult to remain dreadful before what looks like an intentional act of hopeful art form being so generously daubed in a unique real-time motion… Even for me. The blooming coastlines, lighting up right in front of my fatalistically worn-out eyes, are simply too beautiful to remain cynical about such a daily renaissance. “It will be a good day today, boy,” I spontaneously whispered, looking down at Robert, who was peacefully gazing ahead. “What do you think?” I softly added, conscious a too-loud voice might disturb the suspended nature of the moment we were being part of... Robert answered with one of his unique and loving smiles...
And indeed, it is a good day, as I can finally share the details, at least some of them, of a project I’ve been envisioning in my heart from the instant I had the healing blessing to set roots in the dazzling city of Tangier… almost a decade ago already.
After playing in the desert festival of Taragalte, where I’ll remain with the band, team, and crew to shoot a live film. I’ll then be playing in Aït Benhaddou, Rabat and Casablanca before heading to Tangier, where I’ll have the utmost joy to experience a very special weekend with anyone able to join me for a few days. In the span of 3 days, I’ll play 2 different shows, do a live Open Conversation, film a new music video, share different gatherings, go around in the city, and many more surprises for you to partake in!
The official details will be announced in early September, but since the places will be fairly limited, I wanted to give you enough time to set yourselves in motion… and in that regard, I’ll have people guiding you through the whole process… from answering your initial questions regarding any logistical inquiries you may have to guiding you every step of the way up to having appointed people to welcome you once you’ll be in Tangier.
At this point, I would like it if you registered for the weekend through a simple contact form to let us know if you are seriously thinking about joining me and the band for that very special weekend… And we’ll take it from there! 😉
Exciting times!!!
Life creates life
Your friend and brother,
Alex
PS: I’ll share some news concerning Robert’s health very soon! Little hint: we are both dealing with the mange virus. Yes, we are already pretty close…! The only difference? He had a vaccine shot, while I have some “soap” to help me deal with the crazy itching (if you are wondering, no, it doesn’t really work).
